Successful Beginnings Services:

I offer comprehensive mother-baby care services in the states of Maine and NH. I specialize in overnight postpartum care for mother and baby during the first few weeks after birth. I am a RN, IBCLC (lactation consultant), mother of 4 and soon to be grandmother of 1. Please see the About Me page for more information about me and my qualifications.

My primary role is to ease the transition into home life with a new baby. The first few weeks at home can be quite intimidating and exhausting.  I am an experienced, calming presence to help foster bonding and build confidence in the new family while allowing parents the much needed rest they deserve.  However, there is so much more to my services than that.  Information, education, encouragement, emotional and physical support, breastfeeding assistance, newborn care, post c/s support, twins & multiples support, preemies and much more....

I also provide birth doula services (non-clinical labor support) in a birth center or hospital where there is a birth assistant or hospital RN present to do clinical tasks.  At that point I am there solely for you and your partner as your educator, supporter and advocate.  And of course I become an advocate for your baby once he/she is born. 

My services can be utilized anytime during pregnancy, birth and/or postpartum - At home, birth center or at the hospital.  You choose what your needs are and I am there to help if it is within my abilities and scope of practice. 

My services can be utilized by scheduling days, overnights or doing Last Minute Care - you choose.  If you have certain dates in mind, it is recommended to schedule your time ahead if possible, otherwise there is a chance that I could be unavailable for Last Minute Care Services due to the fact that I am scheduled with another family.  But because life's challenges and babies don't usually follow a schedule, click here For more information about Last Minute Care.

I offer Gift Certificates so family and friends can give you the best baby shower gift ever- In Home RN, IBCLC Care -What you need, just when YOU need it.  All you need to do is ask for Mothering Moon Services when providing your baby shower gift registry information and they can buy the Gift Certificates by simply making a phone call.
